Our Whole Flower CBD Products
This looks just like weed! Is this legal?
We get this question a lot! Our flower looks similar to marijuana because it is derived from quality strains bred to have the same rich terpenes and therapeutic benefits as the ones that have THC content. These strains are carefully grown to contain less than 0.3% THC, making them legal to grow in the great state of Vermont and ship across all 50 states.
The reason our flower looks exactly like marijuana is because it is derived from THC strains that have extremely rich terpenes and therapeutic benefits. Professional cannabis growers have bred THC plants that had high CBD and low THC content to get cannabis plants to have .3% THC or less. This makes it legal to grow in Vermont and ship across all 50 states. You can enjoy strains with up to 20% CBD and almost no THC. That is why this looks almost the same as a weed strain - because it technically is just without the THC.
What is the difference between CBD and THC? (What is CBD vs THC?)
As many know the main difference between CBD and THC is that CBD doesn’t get you high and THC does. THC and CBD are both parts of a plant called cannabis, but they do different things to your body. THC is the part that makes you feel "high" or very different in your head, like a strong, funny feeling that changes how you see things. It's like a wild roller coaster for your mind. CBD doesn’t make you feel "high" at all. Instead, it’s like a calm friend that helps you feel better without changing how you think. It can help with pain, make you less anxious, or help you sleep, but it won’t make your head feel funny like THC does. So, THC is the one that makes your mind feel different, and CBD is the one that helps your body feel better without messing with your thoughts.
How does CBD work? What is CBD?
Humans are all born with endocannabinoid systems, a network of cannabinoid receptors in our brains and bodies that receive CBD.
Cannabinoid receptors are found all over the body– the brain, the spinal cord, the immune system, the internal organs, the peripheral nervous system, and even on the skin. In fact, the endocannabinoid system is the most widespread receptor system in the human body.
CBD oil can help improve our endocannabinoid system and its functioning.
Phyto-cannabinoids (cannabinoids from plants) bind to both the cannabinoid receptors and stimulate them to produce beneficial effects and enhance the functioning of the endo-cannabinoid system.
What is Whole Flower vs Whole Plant? Why is Whole Flower better?
Whole Plant refers to a black crude oil where industrial machines mash up the whole plant and grind it up to be run by an ethanol bath. Whole Flower CBD is extracted into the oil with nothing but high end CBD flower. Naturally infusing the CBD and other cannabinoids directly from the flower preserves the trichomes.
Trichomes are tiny crystal sacs on the flower that hold the highest quality CBD produced by the plant.
At Vermont Whole Flower, we grow the highest quality strains of CBD cannabis available. These strains are extremely expensive, and we grow and treat them no differently than you would an expensive THC strain to preserve the trichomes and terpenes.
Thus Whole Flower you are getting ripe trichomes almost like ripe fruit. You get the CBD at its most potent and purest stage. CBD made from the Whole Plant you are getting mostly un-ripened trichomes and 80% stalk and stem material.
What are CBD strains and how are they different?
CBD strains refer to varieties of cannabis plants that are specifically bred to have high levels of cannabidiol (CBD).
Different strains offer varying effects due to their unique cannabinoid and terpene profiles. For instance, some strains may be more effective for relaxation, while others might be better for focus or energy. If you know which strain works best for you, you can choose products that are more likely to deliver the desired effects.
What infusion method does Vermont Whole Flower use?
So we technically do not do an extraction method. Instead we do a natural infusion that binds the CBD trichomes directly to our coconut MCT Oil.
We use a solvent free, chemical free extraction method that naturally extracts more cannabinoids and terpenes from our high quality CBD flower than other methods.
This enables the “Entourage Effect,” where the other naturally occurring cannabinoids and terpenes work together to deliver maximum effects of the CBD. C02 and other harsh extraction methods strip away most of these cannabinoids and terpenes.
Where is your CBD sourced from?
We grow all of our own CBD and CBG Flower, and process all of our CBD products right on our farm in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We only use organic farming methods and extract our CBD through a natural process using organic ingredients.
Can you get high with CBD?
NO! CBD does not have the same psychoactive properties of THC so it won’t get you high.
Our CBD products are all about relaxation and wellness without the buzz.
How long does CBD Oil last?
Just like any natural product, CBD oil eventually expires. The typical shelf life of CBD oil ranges between 6 months to a year but there are many factors that affect this duration including the type of CBD, its ingredients and how you store it.
How to store CBD Oil
We recommend storing our Whole Flower CBD Oil right in the refrigerator after opening. If that is not available then we recommend to store CBD products in a cool, dark place keeping them away from direct sunlight and heat to maintain their potency and shelf life.
Does Vermont Whole Flower have lab tested CBD products?
Absolutely! All of our products are tested by third-party labs to assure purity, potency and most of all, safety.
We believe in transparency so our lab results are always available to view.
What is full spectrum CBD?
Let’s clear a few things up. The term “Full Spectrum CBD” does not define the quality of a CBD Oil. It simply means that the CBD Oil contains a variety of cannabinoids also referred to as the “entourage effect”.
Many people confuse this term with the association of a good CBD product. This is just not true. Oftentimes the term “Full Spectrum” is referring to a gross product known as “CBD Crude Oil” or “Whole Plant CBD Oil”
Full Spectrum CBD may bring together multiple cannabinoids but understanding the source, the strains, and how its produced is even more important.
What is CBD isolate?
CBD Isolate is a crystalline form of CBD, often found as a white powder or crystal. It's created by isolating cannabidiol from all other cannabinoids, terpenes, and plant compounds. This results in a product that is truly isolated, containing no THC, terpenes, or other cannabinoids.
It is essentially like what processed sugar cubes are compared to sugar inside of a fresh fruit. It is completely isolated and super processed in order to make it.
The chemical extraction process used to produce CBD Isolate can leave behind solvent residues if not done correctly. While reputable manufacturers take steps to remove these residues, the risk remains, especially with lower-quality products.
In isolating CBD, many beneficial compounds present in the hemp plant, such as terpenes and minor cannabinoids, are removed. These compounds can contribute to the therapeutic effects of the product, making CBD Isolate less comprehensive in its benefits.
Does Vermont Whole Flower offer CBD Isolate products?
Heck NO! We steer clear of harsh chemicals in our extraction process to produce only the highest quality, Strain Specific, Whole flower CBD and CBG products.
What is broad spectrum CBD?
Broad Spectrum CBD put simply is just CBD Oil with THC removed from it one way or the other. Broad spectrum isn’t far off from isolate CBD as it involves a lot of processing to accomplish making such a product.
A broad spectrum product is either Ethanol or Co2. You then need to put it through a winterization process. Then a distillation. Then chromatography. Then vigorous testing.
Can I give CBD products to my pet?
Our Whole Flower CBD products can be used for pets, but you should always consult with a veterinarian before starting any supplement regimen for your pets. While we don’t offer CBD dog treats yet, rest assured you can give your pet small dosages of our Whole Flower CBD and CBG Oil.
We would recommend 5-10 mg to start with each meal.
Can I ship this product?
Yes! CBD is legal to ship in all 50 states as long as it is tested under .3% THC.
Companies that comply with the **Farm Bill of 2018**: Under the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp-derived CBD products with a THC content of 0.3% or less are legal at the federal level. This means that it is legal to ship these CBD products across state lines.
This is the bill that differentiates marijuana from industrial hemp and permits the cultivation of hemp within the United States.
